Somerset Art Weeks Education Pack
Each year SAW produces education resources to encourage schools to view Somerset Art Weeks as a provider of fantastic opportunities right on their doorstep. There are many ways for schools to get involved and discover opportunities for inspiring creativity and learning outside the classroom. The pack includes: advice on visiting venues, organising tours, engaging with artists, workshops, setting homework activities and a range of activity resources. Download it here.
We commissioned filmmaker and teacher Kate Saunders to work with us to create a guide to running a ten-week after-school animation club. The guide includes week-by-week activities you can lead with your primary school group, helpful advice and links to resources and tutorial videos. It’s free to download and could be led by a teaching assistant or volunteer. If you’re thinking of offering a club in your school don’t forget if you’re an InspirED school you can book a Digiday as a practical introduction and support. Do let us know how you get on with the guide and we’d love to see the work you create…
You might decide to charge for the club and use the fees towards your InspirED subscription or to buy more equipment for your school.
